Oct 6, 2006 (Boca Raton FL)-- Ron Wexler, President and CEO of the Ten Commandments Commission (TCC) announced plans to broadcast a 30 minute "Ten Commandments Day Celebration T.V. Special " in early January of  2006 .

The TCC reports that talks are currently underway with a leading Christian network to air the venue.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW:

This thirty minute program is designed to highlight the Ten Commandments and the up-coming Ten Commandments Celebration Day. We will show that God and His laws are still sovereign despite all the negative forces at work in the world today. We must allow God to write His laws on our hearts, try to live what we believe and pour ourselves into the next generation. This program will illuminate the necessity for young and old to unite in proclaiming the life-giving liberty found in God Almighty and His Word.

The Ten Commandments Celebration Day program will illustrate this through the story of a grandmother who shares the Word of God and His commandments with her beloved granddaughter. The program will spotlight the microcosm and macrocosm of irreducible complexities in today's society. The responsibility of God's people to love and instruct the next generation and world about God and His laws is evident. The revelation of how believers can affect non-believers by being good citizens in the global community is unveiled through the observing and obeying of the Ten Commandments. Lastly, this special program sheds enlightenment about how Jesus enables us to follow these laws through His finished work on the cross and through the two Great Commandments he taught. Thus providing the power to be transformed into His image and likeness.

This will be an uplifting and celebratory look at God's laws by focusing on the positive redeeming aspects of the Ten Commandments and their rightful place in the world. As J.R.Miller said, "We see always what we are looking for. And if our mind has become trained to look for trouble, difficulty, all dark and dreary things then we find just what we seek." The Ten Commandments Celebration program will emphasize Philippians 4:8, "If there be anything noble, right, pure, lovely, excellent and praiseworthy, dwell on these!"

After the initial scene with Grandma and Sarah, there will be a powerful twenty minute segment containing five inspirational Christian leaders like; Paul Crouch, Rod Parsley, Miles Munroe, Roni Wexler and Jay Sekulow. They will be speaking on the importance of the Ten Commandments and the upcoming Ten Commandments Celebration Day.

Following their speeches, the show returns to the Grandmother gently rocking the granddaughter asleep in her arms while quietly humming "The Battle Hymn of the Republic." We close at the Supreme Court where we see the Ten Commandments etched in stone. There is a superimposed image of Stephen Maiden (the Puritan) and Sarah safely in her Grandma's arms. All is well as we unite past, present and future generations together. His word endures forever!

Among the ministry leaders who are voicing their support for the TCC are: Dr. Paul Crouch (TBN), Pastor T.D. Jakes (The Potter's House), Richard Shakarian (Full Gospel Business Men's Fellowship), Bishop George McKinney (Church of God in Christ), Pastor Billy Joe Daugherty (Tulsa Victory Christian Center), Benny Hinn (Benny Hinn Ministries), Ted Haggard (National Association of Evangelicals), Dr. Mark J.
